Informa Markets, the owner and organizer of the annual Water Wastewater Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport Show (WWETT Show) announced June 1, that the show would be canceled for 2021.
Kristen McKercher, WWETT Show director released the following statement:
The WWETT community is built on close-knit personal relationships. Many started as small family-owned businesses that developed long-term business relationships and shared success through face-to-face connections. Over the years, the WWETT Show has grown and developed much in the same way these businesses have.
Throughout COVID-19, we’ve learned and endured a lot. We’re stronger, more versatile, and more resilient than ever before. We have proven we can do hard things, especially when we do them together.
The WWETT Show prides itself on providing the latest wastewater products in one place, quality education and annual certification requirements, and networking and community events for the entire family. Our goal is to always deliver an indispensable experience for the community.
This year is no different. However, as essential workers and businesses, many of you have continued to grow during the pandemic, and now with restrictions lifting, business is busier than ever. We have listened to your feedback that hosting an event this summer is not in your best interest and that you would prefer for us to focus the next eight months preparing to make WWETT 2022 bigger and better than ever before. So, that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
We have made the difficult but important decision to remove the June event from the calendar this year and refocus our efforts on looking ahead to next year, finding innovative ways to enhance your experience, February 21-24, 2022 at the Indiana Convention Center.
When we get together in person next February, the event will be a deserving celebration of all we’ve been through. In the meantime, we’re excited to present new opportunities to complete your continuing education online from the convenience of your home and schedule. Based on your feedback, we’re developing a new solution to meet the annual certification requirements, and we’ll be sharing more details soon.
I speak for myself and the entire WWETT team in saying thank you. To those here from the beginning, to those who have joined us along the way – we couldn’t be here without you. Your commitment and trust in us, while we’ve all navigated through a pandemic together, means so much.

Organizers note that those who have registered do not need to take action at this time. They are working through 2021 registration cancelations and will be in contact within the next 7 to 10 business days.
Regarding hotel reservations. Those who booked through onPeak – the WWETT Show’s official housing vendor – don’t have to do anything. OnPeak will cancel your reservation. You should receive an email confirming this cancellation within 7 to 10 business days.
