Cleaning is often the first step during a sewer inspection project. On the residential side of things, that is often accomplished using a trailer or truck jetter. However, when you get to the mainline systems, a different approach is necessary.

Utility owners and the contractors they hire to perform the work rely on combination sewer cleaners or jet/vac trucks. One of the foremost manufacturers of these important pieces of equipment is Vacall. Since 2006, Vacall machines have been designed, manufactured, sold and supported by Gradall Industries Inc.

On this episode of the Pipe Cleaning PRO Insider Videocast, Tod Ebetino, director of Vacall Products for Gradall Industries, sits down with Mike Kezdi, managing editor of Pipe Cleaning PRO.  Tod has been in the Sewer and Water Industry for 27 years, spending the last eight years as a Vacall regional sales manager. He was recently promoted to director of Vacall Products.

Tod and Mike discuss, among other things, Vacall’s association with Gradall Industries since being acquired in 2006. The benefits that Gradall’s more than 75 years of manufacturing and engineering knowledge have brought to the Vacall brand.

We also cover what sets the Vacall machines apart from competitors. And we briefly discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and how – through its team in New Philadelphia, Ohio and its North American distribution network – Vacall was able to continue to meet and exceed customers’ needs.
